A team of guys that get along and have genuine care for each other tend to play better together. It is Rise culture to facilitate relationships off the court because we understand how it can make such a difference on the court. When teammates are hanging out together, going to work out together, and communicating with each other on their own time a bond starts to form. Lifelong friendships with like minded players can become invaluable in helping shape their lives.
This mindset extends to the parents of our players. Getting to know the people you're sitting on the bleachers with can be very rewarding. This makes travel tournaments and Rise events that much more fun. At the end of the day, our parents are the backbone of everything we do. It only makes sense that the more the parents get along and can support one another, the more the players and team will benefit.
At Rise we also like to hold a few events to allow our whole basketball family to not only get to know each other better, but to get to know their coaches on a more human level. These interactions with the kids allow the players to see their coaches differently and alot of times can create a better dynamic between player and coach. We want you to feel we can be a guide on and off the court. We are prideful that many former Rise players still reach out when having real world issues or just want to catch up, long after they are in adulthood.
Our basketball club believes every piece of the puzzle is necessary for us all to be successful. We strive to be, not just an extremely competive ball club, but also a family. Building that level of chemistry allows for trust and unselfishness, which creates better established roles on the court.
